Okay I saw the ad for Xenogears;99.95,I could get that at my local Movie Trading Company for like 9.99 and I have. This isn't much of a blog for this wiki but I have also noticed that one seller was selling Final Fantasy Anthology,Origins, and the Original Japanese IV which is # II in U.S(all these games fror less than 17.00$

As much as I adorn the FF franchise, I would much prefer that the actual prices are reasonable.

The cheapest price i've ever paid out-of-pocket for a final fantasy game was 5.99 for a pre-owned copy of Final Fantasy VIII.

Final Fantasy VII (PS1) is 165.00 on eBay.......>.<

    Nostalgia Corner 4

    February 28, 2014 by Lockexceles34

Just a quick recap in case you're new to this series, the Nostalgia Corner is where I take old video games from the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's and review them to see if the game is still enjoyable and the mechanics have held up well. Many of these games I grew up with as a child, so if I don't give this game a stellar review, it's not because I hate the game, but because I genuinely don't feel the gameplay would appeal to the modern gaming standards. Their mechanics do not hinder my ability to adore the game, though. Well...sometimes they don't.

The rules here still stand, no games made post 2005, and no game that had a remake. And HD collections don't count as a remake. And graphics don't factor into the review unless I find them very ob…

okay With The Realistic attires of Noctis,Prompto,Cor,Gladiolus, and Ignis this installment in the franchise will clearly be a very impressive addition to our stack of games.

Honestly since I very first heard about the development of the game,I was just stunned by the size of the Square Enix/Sqaure Soft Team beacuse within the year of developing XV they were releasing the XII,VII:Dirge of Cerberus titles and more.

So yes I guess that you could say I am a bit struck by the ability of the developers.

I was impressed with the overall design on the project as well...Can't Wait!

Hey there people of Finalfantasy.answers.wikia.com, Me Nael here going to make this blog talking about what happen or what I been doing since the last name I talked on here(April I think since I checked my talk list on here). A year ago I was a huge villain fan, and to this day the blogs that make me happy are the top 10 FF, DBZ and Sonic villains blogs.

To be honest, I lost interest with video games, I wasn't really in the mood to play that much anymore, there no games that interest me other than a game Ill take about later in this blog. What I been doing recently was watching lots of movies, yes I been watching movie series, horror franchises, comedy's, westerns and drama's. Most of the blogs I haven't finished I really don't care to fini…

Alright, we all know that Hironobu Sakaguchi was probably the best thing to ever happen to Squaresoft, creating their massively famous Final Fantasy franchise, and the impact was felt when he finally left Square-Enix. It seems that that charm and talent he possessed in creating games for the company has been lost, and cannot be replaced.

However, that is not to say this man has stopped making video games. In fact, his legacy lives on, in two of the most amazing RPGs I've ever played. One is Lost Odyssey, a game that kept the traditional Final Fantasy gameplay style you'd come to expect from Sakaguchi. It is fucking amazing.

The other is the lesser beloved little brother of Lost Odyssey, Last Story. (Oh, nice little joke there, Sakaguchi. Nic…

    Timelinesplitter

    Hello everyone, Timelinesplitter here.

I know I haven't been around very much at all, since probably last year actually. I've been neglectful and unable to be contacted, unsure if you guys have noticed or not, but I'm always busy and been occupying my time with other things.

I'll have to cut to the chase, since I've got to be at work soon. I'm sad to say that I'll have to step down as moderator, and likely leave here entirely. I'm sad to have to go, and I really hate to leave a good amount of these friends I've made here. (Although I've got some of your Skype contacts) Perhaps one day I'll come back, but for now, I can't really see being here for awhile.

I'll remember all of you and I'll maybe I'll see you/talk to you again one day.

Hoo, you guys are in for a treat with this one. My darling hates this game, and she has asked me to write a blog on it. Well, since I don't want to sleep on the couch tonight, let's pop this bitch in the PS3 while I pop the tab on a Hurricane. If I'm going to play ths game, I am not going to do it sober.

I'll continue the Ergheiz review after this one. I promise. This is just a special review for someone dear to me.

Alright, time to confess something. I actually DO like some Call of Duty games. I thought the Modern Warfares were okay, welll....Except 3, that one's fucking crap, and I remember playing the PS2 titles quite often as a kid. But the reason I'm not optimistic with this one? Even Call of Duty fans are saying this one sucks. It had …

So...What the flying fuck is up with the price of video games online these days?

No, I'm not talking about Gamestop, I don't see the big deal, I've always had fantastic dealings with that company, they've given me good, honest opinions, and I don't even think their trade-in offers are that bad. I got $200 in trade-in on them once, and if I was there the day before, I'd have gotten $400 trade-in. Hell, I even got an extra 10% because it just happened to be my birthday. I'm talking about the money grubbing assholes on the online market who charge small fortunes for games that are practically ancient.

Okay, a little nugget of knowledge, you know how I get all my old games I review? Coolroms? Emuparadise? No. I actually buy every single game I r…

Well, I feel bad that I haven't done any reviews in a while and I apologize. With being married and rent and stuff like that, just kind of taken my focus off really playing video games for the time being. But I think I've got a good one this time.

Ergheiz: God Bless the Ring is a fighting game created by a company called Dreamfactory for the playstation. You might have heard of this one. Yes, it's the one with the Final Fantasy 7 characters in the roster, at least the home console version, the one I am playing, does. This was originally going to be part of the new Nostalgia Corner I'm working on, but I felt it might serve better as a standalone review.

Please excuse me if this turns out to be a pretty brief review. When discussing a fighting…

I emerge from my Basement clutching a strange little item. A video game from the PS1 days called "Silent Hill." Ah, I remember Silent Hill. A game I feared as a child. I was never much into Horror Games growing up. Took one look at the zcreature on the box art of Resident Evil 3 once and had nightmares for a week. Always shyed away from these psyche challenging experiences.

But growing up, I found it an interesting little title. And I said to myself, I must explore this game, and finally combat the horror within. This is my qu…

    Batman: Arkham City Review

    December 24, 2013 by SidVI

So, I've beaten Batman: Arkham City. Completed the majority of the sidequests, beat the Catwoman DLC and I even tried out the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC (haven't finished that). Supposedly, Batman: Arkham City is held as one of the greatest superhero-based video games ever made, as well as one of the best action-adventure games ever made. It's my job to take this game to task and see if it holds up to its illustrious reputation.

I like that the combat in this game is both simple and complex at the same time. It's simple because you only have to use a few buttons for combat: punch, counter, stun and dodge, which makes the game easy to play, but it's complex because of stuff like the combo multiplier, free-flow, quick-use gadgets and so on.

    Th…

    Garland's Soul

Here is my 1750 word fan fiction's interlude. I still plan on revising it. (Note:There are a lot of differences between this story and the game already.)

    Final Fantasy

            Introduction

It was winter in Onlak. The trees and houses were drenched in the snow that plagued the paths of cobblestone in the small town. Few people were on the streets at all. This time was the worst for my kind. Thieves that is. I was part of a small group of individuals that targeted Onlak for a profit. After a heist we would sell our findings at a caravan to the north-west. In the winter however, we could be caught easily and the penalty for stealing was death. Most of us and myself got a job to pay though the winter to be without risk of impending doom. …

    Metroid: Other M RAGE!

    December 12, 2013 by Lockexceles34

I can't...do it anymore. I can't just ignore this game's existance. Everywhere I go, I see people desperately trying to defend this abomination. I have time and time again had insults flinged at me for hating this game, for acknowledging the truth.

    Metroid: Other M fucking SUCKS!

I can't take anymore! I must unleash the rage within me! I must take a stand and finally call this game out, like so many others have. This is my weaponization of my hatred towards the defense of this game, and the blatant attacks I have suffered for daring to have an opinion about it.

Anyone who knows me knows I adore the Metroid franchise. I jumped onto the boat with Metroid Prime and have since collected and beaten the entire franchise. Yes, even the pinball game.…

I just have to vent a bit here.
So I've been playing FFXIV again after a short hiatus due to work restricting the amount of free time I had. It's been fun and all; trying to get through the story because the 2.0 patch being released in a week is going to raise the level cap and continue the main quest line. I'm at level 41 at the moment, and in order to continue the story I need to complete a dungeon called "The Stone Vigil".

Here's the thing with FFXIV. Dungeons take place in a separate, isolated area detached from the rest of the world. And in order to enter a dungeon you have to enter the "Duty Finder" - because in order to start the dungeon you need a party of two warriors, one healer and one tank (a tank is a strong player who deals the…

    Garland's Soul

I have procieved that my FF9 fan fiction was rather bland and it would take a lot of time so I've scrapped the project. If you'd like, I could post the time line of what it was going to be. On the other hand, I plan to write a Final Fantasy I story in the FF9 one's stead. This story will span the length of the game (with some alterations) and an extended beginning and end with the characters: Miles (warrior), Felix (thief), Astrea (white mage), and Thaddeus (black mage).

Well, guys. It's come to this. That decision we all have to make eventually in our lives. Do we keep the good run as gamers? Or is it time to pack it in? For me...that time's come.

I'm done with video games. I can't keep up with it anymore. The new consoles coming out, the slew of launch titles? I should be getting excited for the future possibilities. Instead, I don't even care. I just...don't. Have completely lost interest.

I mean, shit. New console's come out. PS4, Xbox One, new games, new franchises, new worlds to explore...And I could not give less of a shit.

You know what I've been playing on lately? As we get into the new gaming generation? A Super Nintendo. An almost 30 year old console. And you know what? I enjoy it. I almost prefer …

Let me give you a little story.  Back in about May, during the 25th Anniversary of Final Fantasy, I purchased the only PS1 era FF title I did not own in any medium: Final Fantasy VIII.  My brother owns it, and it was his copy I played back in 2000 when the game first released.  Hot on the heels of the insane success of Final Fantasy VII, the eigth installment failed to meet the lofty expectations of the Western audience.  I wasn't in love with the game back then, and only played through it using a cheat device.  Of course, I was 14 at the time, and couldn't understand the complexities of the game (I couldn't figure out Added Effect - Death = Cloud Bulldozer combination until a few years ago), so I blame my ignorance on youth.  I thought i…

In preparation for Halloween this October, over the next four weeks I'm listing my favourite maniacs of the silver screen - the psychos, the killers and the monsters.
Last week was Frank N. Furter of Rocky Horror fame. This week is Disney's own psychopath, Judge Claude Frollo.

If there were ever a scary kid's movie villain, this guy is it. In fact, watching this movie again as an adult, I was probably more scared of Frollo than I was when I was a kid, purely because I understood everything so much better. He was no longer just the scary old Judge who hated Quasimodo for being ugly. He was a sadistic maniac who had violent sexual urges and emotionally tortured the disfigured boy he adopted after killing said boy's mother. For the record, yes, t…

Okay, so I wanted to do something special for October. I wanted to do a game review to fit the theme of the month. I was originally going to review a horror game, but that didn't seem anything particular because I already did a review for a horror game outside of October (My Alan Wake review) so I decided instead to talk about the series that defined monsters in video games.

That series is none other than Castlevania.

Castlevania is certainly an interesting series. Let us not forget that no other game series has made such an impact in the use of popular European myths and legends, novel monsters, and even some film horrors in a video game setting. And what's a better series for the month of monsters than the game with all the classics in it? …

Last week was Norman Bates, the titular Psycho. This week is the ever fabulous Doctor Frank N. Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

It's not often that the main antagonist is also the main character. Although the credits list Brad as the hero and Janet as the heroine, it's really Frank N. Furter who steals the show. Frank N. Furter is the self-proclaimed "sweet transvestite from transsexual Transylvania". In this case, however, Transsexual is an alien planet in the galaxy known as Transvestite. Frank N. Furter (his name an obvious parody of Frankenstein) is the captain of t…

Psycho has become a pop-culture staple thanks to its famous shower scene where the shadowy silhouette of "mother" stabs Marion Crane to death about a quarter into the movie. It was, and still is, a very shocking scene - the audience were lead to believe that Marion was the main character and that she'd survive to return home and run away with her lover like they planned, living happily ever after. Without further ado, let's begin with number one: Jame Gumb...

When people think of The Silence of the Lambs they think of the iconic cannibalistic genius Hannibal Lecter, as portrayed by the amazing Anthony Hopkins. And yes, Mr. Hopkins did a terrific job at making Lecter so devoid of emotion, so far from human and a legitimately terrifying character. But for me, that's the issue - he felt like a character. From his over-the-top monologues with Agent Starling to his near-impossible escape from FBI confinement and the dramatic finale in which Lecter phones Clarice from a tropical …

    Okami thoughts

    September 30, 2013 by Lockexceles34

You know, this game has eluded me for months, as a review, but no more. I'll just come straight out and finally state what I think of Okami. Warning, there will be spoilers.

A lot of people tell me that Okami is, and always will be, a masterpiece. I...disagree. While I still enjoy the game, I certainly don't find it to be perfect. Sure, a lot of ideas worked in execution. About as many sort of crashed on takeoff.

But before I really get into the bad of this game, let me give you a little history. My first experience with Okami was mostly through everyone telling me how amazing it is. How it's the diamond jewel of the PS2 and Wii. Xplay wouldn't shut up about it, Gamestop clerks everywhere told me to play it. But I, in my naturally skeptical …

You know, nothing brings me more delight than nitpicking the plot of a shitty story. And I started this as a full review, but it ended up in development limbo. But I remembered how much fun I had nagging on this, and I wanted to continue and share it. So for all you fans, here's my review of the story behind one of the worst games ever made, Sonic the Hedgehog 2006.

The story of Sonic 06 is to good fiction what the sounds of nails grinding across a metal wall in a room of panicking chickens is to music. Bear with me here, if the story sounds bad, it's not my faulty recollection, it's because this plot makes no fucking sense. I’m going to review the entire plot. Why? So you can REALLY get a grasp of how crap this game is. And because I want …

Sorry Juri, but I had to cancel your requested review of the Hatsune Miku game. I’ll make it up to you somehow.
Okay, so after suffering a bout of writer's block, I come back to my reviewing mood only to find out I can't think of anything to review. I originally was going to review a Silent Hill game, but I’m apparently a total pussy and chickened out of those. So here's my review of...*Swipes a random game off his shelf* Bayonetta.

Hey, it was either this or Grand Theft Auto 5, which was another review requested of me, and I don't like reviewing newer games. Although if you guys really want, leave some comments below asking me to review GTA V, and I may get around to it. But I don't particularly like reviewing games that have just come out. …

Hello fellow Final Fantasy Answers wikians. I am thinking of writing a fan fiction regarding my favorite installment, Final Fantasy IX, I am asking for opinions on how to do so like, for instance, should it be told first person or third, should it be a prequel or sequel, and should the main character be Zidane? So just asking all of you for ideas.

So I was talking to Nem and I signed in on Skype only to find it was Mateus' birthday today! So I decided to create this blog to both wish our resident joker a happy birthday and highlight his achievements on the Wiki.

So first off, happy birthday Mateus! I hope you get lots of gifts and cake! I know you don't really drink so we'll skip that part.

First off we have the famous question: How does one defeat Bizzaro Sephiroth? This was one of Mateus most famous moments for it spawned the meme 'Mateus hijacks questions'. Now we all know that if Mateus wills it, he can hijack our questions, our talk pages and the Community Discussion page.

And how can we ever forget Mateus photoshopping skills? From...Pimp Dysley...

    ...To Pimp Lightning...

    Yep, Mate…

I haven't written a blog in a while, so here we go.
I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Hitman series, if any of you even are. But seeing as I bought the 2013 HD collection of the second, third and fourth games last week, it seems like a good time to get this off my chest. Recently, Enix bought the Eidos company and now own games such as Tomb Raider and Hitman, and are putting money into publishing new games in said series. One of these new games was Hitman: Absolution, released last year. The last game before that was the amazing Hitman: Blood Money, released in 2006 as easily one of the best games on the Playstation 2 system. A year later came the butchered Hollywood film "Hitman" which was a catastrophic failure that had very lit…

Most likely gonna get shot for this but i couldn't care less, this is the result of noticing alot of look alikes when it comes to a few of the gym leaders then coming up with an idea of seeing who would play as some of the characters in the pokemon (game not anime) universe in a live adaption, also i am very bored right now so i did this out of boredom, most of them, ESPECIALLY RED, were difficult to choose, considering anything being made for a live adaption can be a very risky make or break type of situation, keep in mind most of them are pretty much just look alikes, in my opinion a pokemon live adaption would be actually shit but it's interesting to see the look alikes.

Also i would lastly like to add that in Pokemon characters like Red…

Since I am bound to my house due to my leg, I figured I’d take advantage of my time cooped up and return to some nostalgic gaming. This is the Nostalgia Corner, part 3.

I want to take some time to explore some Nintendo classics, though. And return to some fond memories of my childhood growing up with this video gaming behemoth. So let’s view the classics while I pop another vicodin.

Now again. These reviews are not about whether or not I judge this game as good or not, but if they’re still fun by today’s gaming standards. I must remind everyone that I actually do like many of these games.

Also, for this review, I’m going to shy away from games that got remakes, like Super Mario 64, or Ocarina of Time. There is no point in analyzing if a game …

Okay, guys, I need to tell the truth. For the past couple months, I have been hiding a problem I've been having. I have been suffering from incredible pain in my leg, which is the reason I seem unfocused and at times, completely inactive.

I had the leg checked out, and it turned out I had a benign tumor growing in my knee, which was the source of my agony. While it wasn't life threatening, its location was causing a reaction in my nerves and was triggering the excruciating pain I'd been feeling, as well as obstructing a blood vessel, causing it to swell overtime. I was able to hide this for some time, but the pain had grown to intolerable measures. Last week, I had the tumor surgically removed. However...

Due to where it was located, the sur…

Somehow, just me quoting Mateus causes comic gold to fall from the sky.

    I didn't mention his name.

    He's not even on Facebook.

How does he do it? It's like he has the Midas Touch - 23:38, July 26, 2013 (UTC)
