Hello, and welcome to Final Fantasy Answers. What question do you have today?

LOL if that actually happened she wouldn't last five minuets.NemSig 05:10, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

omg is that actually how it ends? OMFG THAT'S HILARIOUS! TORIYAMA YOU TALENTLESS FUCK HA HA HA HA HA -- Emperor-PSPField Borghen LeonDK 07:41, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

Now to be fair, at least *I* liked it, and I'm sure a lot of other fans of XIII and XIII-2 will love the conclusion to the Lightning Saga. In fact, I nearly shed a tear seeing the whole ending of it all... how everything had at last come together...  Primarch Dysley FFXIII - Sprite-Dysley 07:51, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

I think this sums up my reaction.NemSig 10:53, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

Well, assuming the gravity levels in the Lightning saga allow people to be suspended in midair and jump like 10 meters, Lightning will have a hard time in combat on Earth. Those physics remind me of Advent Children. Garlands RedOrb Soul 14:33, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

AND Final Fantasy XV... of course (I hate you Nomura). For Nomura and Toriyama, Gravity doesn't exist. The funny thing of all of this is, that is "based on reality". I don't know if in Japan gravity doesn't exist and Leviathans destroy metropolitan cities but, here in the west we barely walk. GestahlianChocobot (talk) 01:39, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

I liked it,i would like even more if wasn't the earth but I liked it.also it was very predictable we already know that Bhunivelze was going to create a new planet,i mean not plot twist wtf?

I have no idea how you guys know the ending already.  I'm just gonna wait til it drops to twenty GI Joe american dollars and then play through it.  I have faith that as long as I don't browse the DLC costume library, I should maintain my sanity.  Enuo5 Enuo 13:02, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

OR you can save those bucks, and watch the story on Youtube GestahlianChocobot (talk) 00:29, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
Nah, because I actually enjoyed the gameplay the most on FFXIII-2, the story was just okay.  I prefer to play my games by playing them, because you never know if you'll like it until you play it for yourself!  Enuo5 Enuo 12:45, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
I actually owned XIII and XIII-2. But then, I traded them for a Dualshock 3 lol GestahlianChocobot (talk) 06:24, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

My Sword and Shield is ready to defend Lady Lightning!!! JuriSuzukiDissicon ff13 Lig1 17:13, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

who cares about the ending we already know that it was to be a variation of "They lived happily ever after",the gameplay is ultra fun and addicting

The only time I've ever been able to forgive a terrible plot line because the game had good gameplay was "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance". And even then I was biased because it's part of my favourite series. But that was a standalone title which was more or less made for people who wanted to play as cyborg ninja that could tear people's spines out and slice up giant robots with a few swings of a samurai sword. -- Emperor-PSPField Borghen LeonDK 22:45, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

well this is my "standalone title" then :),beside the rest of the story is fitting with the others two games hell even the new world thing is fitting, just the "earth" part is odd

omg i get the "standalone title" part wrong hahaha how embarrassing sorry about that XDD

Actually, this ending has been done before by Square and Enix.  See Illusion of Gaia  and Drakengard .  I'm kinda surprised I just realized that, actually.  Enuo5 Enuo 16:31, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

^Thank you for implanting the image of an F-22 flying out of nowhere and missiling Lightning to death, ala Drakengard ending E. LockeSig 18:13, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

OMG Locke, that made me laugh so hard!!!  Holy crap, that would be amazing if it happened JUST like Drakengard's fifth ending.  She's floating around all nimbly bimbly because Final Fantasy gravity, then KABOOM!!!  Threat eliminated.  Enuo5 Enuo 18:58, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
Stop being mean to Lightning guys!
JuriSuzukiDissicon ff13 Lig1 19:00, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

Square Enix is being mean enough...  Enuo5 Enuo 20:00, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

My reaction to your link Enou.NemSig 02:47, November 27, 2013 (UTC)
Gorgeous Admiral...bullshit, that's Faris' coat from the Amano artwork, and she is NOT an Admiral! Did Square really give that little attention to the characters these outfits are supposed to homage? LockeSig 19:07, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

Ahhh okay, I finally get it guys. Square-Enix have been hardcore trolling us all and nobody realised it. Just look at this new 13-3 costume and tell me Toriyama isn't sitting at his desk right now, rolling around in money and laughing about how stupid all us gullible Westerners are for buying his obvious troll games. -- Emperor-PSPField Borghen LeonDK 00:59, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

That outfit is going to haunt my dreams for eternity. LockeSig 01:05, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

Hopefully, eternity is shorter than the entire XIII saga GestahlianChocobot (talk) 06:24, November 27, 2013 (UTC)
Oh its not THAT bad you guys...Its just...a new take on things.

JuriSuzukiDissicon ff13 Lig1 11:54, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

Apparently it is, because I just looked at the game's sales in Japan, and it's selling like flat soda. Which is to say, barely at all. So even the Japanese audience the game was targetted towards isn't interested in it. 277,082 sales so far. That might look like a big number, but given most games from franchises as iconic as Final Fantasy sell close to a million copies in their first weeks, especially if it's a japanese based company? That's...bad. And it's probably going to be even worse here, considering Lightning Returns is considered here to be "The sequel no one asked for to the sequel no one asked for.".
